In the yard of M.R. Štefánik, where the Museum of Communism is located, an example of a of greening public buildings hes been realized. This provides shading with alternative elements of green infrastructure, specifically exterior vertical greenery. In this yard, part of the walls facade has been greened.
The aim is to ensure cooling of the environment through evapotranspiration of vegetation (release of water from the surface of plants) and evaporation from surfaces, capture of dust particles. Vertical greenery contributes to improvement and healing of the climate, it contributes to increasing the ecological value of the area.
