Your answers will help in the preparation of a strategic document called Action Plan for mitigation and adaptation to climate change in town Brezno, which we are preparing this year in cooperation with company ASITIS, Ltd. The action plan should help the town to respond to gradually increasing temperatures, droughts or other meteorological extremes that are affecting us more and more often and will become even more frequent in the future.
"We know that the last decade has demonstrated enough that climate change on Earth is happening and that it is also affecting the Slovak Republic. The country has suffered many changes in the past as a result of human activity, many of which are clearly negative. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent climate change at the moment, but we have the opportunity to prepare for the changes so that our lives and the future of next generations will not be affected so much," says Jan Matouš from ASITIS, the company that is developing the strategy.
The feeling map and survey can be filled out until JUNE 30, 2023. The results will then be published in the BREZŇAN and MY HOREHRONIE newspapers and will be used to better target the strategy of the Action Plan.
The survey is carried out as part of the project " Action plan and measures of the town Brezno aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change" supported by Norway through Norwegian grants and co-financed from the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
