On May 19th 2022 was held online conference regarding project “Action plan and measures of the city of Brezno aimed at mitigating the consequences of climate change” implemented with financial support from Norway through Norway Grants and co-financed from the State Budget of the Slovak Republic.
At the beginning mayor of town Brezno JUDr. Tomáš Abel, PhD. welcomed participants, after that Ing. Denis Knotka, Director of the Control Department for Technical Assistance Projects and Transnational Cooperation Programs from Ministry of Environment took over with presentation about Programme SK-Climate.
In the next entry Mgr. Milada Medveďová, head of Project Management Department, Town Hall Brezno, told more about project “Action plan and measures of the city of Brezno aimed at mitigating the consequences of climate change”. In her presentation she introduces activities, which is town Brezno implementing within this project.
About current topics and possibilities of support of activities for change of climate within programme EU Horizont Europe talked Ing. Mikuláš Černota, PhD., National delegate for the Climate change Adaptation Mission programme Horizont Europe, University of Economics in Bratislava.
Next presentation was focused on climate changes. Information about this topic prepared Ing. Peter Tichý, head of the Department of Environment and Building Regulations, Town Hall Brezno.
And last introduced was Ing. Ivan Kamenský, head of Investment Department, Town Hall Brezno with presentation about projects of town Brezno focusing on climate change mission.
