Road transport and motor vehicles are a major contributor to environmental pollution in the town. Air pollution and traffic noise affect the quality of life and worsen the living conditions of the town's inhabitants.
For this reason, the town Brezno proposed to contribute to reducing the amount of pollutants released into the air in the town through the purchase and use of electric cars in the services of the town government for the needs of town employees. The new electric car with zero combined CO2 emissions in g / km was procured for the needs of the municipal staff, so that, as far as the electric car can travel, priority will be given to ecological modes of transport within the town and its surroundings. The purchased electric car is now used exclusively for non-economic activities in the public interest for the performance of self-governing functions of the Brezno municipality.
The use of an electric vehicle with zero CO2 emissions will result in projected emission savings of 1,052 t CO2 / year compared to the vehicle currently in use.
