The restoration of the building consisted of:
- the insulation of the perimeter walls of the above-ground floors, the replacement of window and door panels, the renovation of the balcony, modifications to the building's plumbing structures, modernisation of the boiler room and construction of a new gutter sidewalk.
According to the conclusions of the energy audit, the renovation of the building will save CO2 emissions at the total amount of 14.3 t CO2/year. The rate of total energy savings after the implementation of all proposed building modifications is estimated at about 64% compared to the existing solution. In case of these energy efficiency measures, the key indicator planned to make a measurable contribution to achieving the minimum required CO2 reduction target was set on the basis of the conclusions of energy audits carried out for both kindergarten buildings.
